Introduction

Innove Partners, LLC doing business as Ellyo ("Ellyo," "we," "us," or "our") operates the Ellyo platform at ellyo.ai, an AI hiring intelligence platform that helps hiring teams review candidates using evidence based signals rather than numeric scores or hiring verdicts.

This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices and rights you have. We have tried to write it in plain language. If anything is unclear, please reach out to us at privacy@ellyo.ai. We are glad to help.

Who this policy covers

Ellyo is used by hiring managers, founders, and recruiters who create accounts to review and evaluate job candidates. Throughout this policy we call these people our "users" or "customers."

Candidates do not have Ellyo accounts and do not log in to the platform. Candidate information is entered or uploaded into Ellyo by our customers, the hiring teams who use the service. If you are a candidate and you want to know how your information is being used in a hiring process, the best first step is to contact the employer or hiring team that is considering you, since they control that information. We explain more about candidate information below.

Information we collect

Information you give us when you join our waitlist

When you sign up for our waitlist on our homepage, we collect your name, email address, company name, company size, number of hires per year, and your biggest hiring challenge.

Account information

When you create an Ellyo account, we collect your name, work email address, company name, and a password.

Payment information

When you purchase a paid plan, your payment is processed by Stripe. We do not collect or store your full payment card details. Stripe handles that information directly under its own privacy practices.

Candidate information

Our customers use Ellyo to review job candidates. As part of this, customers enter or upload candidate information into the platform. This can include information found on a resume or professional profile, such as a candidate's name, email address, phone number, mailing address, work history, and education. It also includes content our customers create during hiring, such as interview notes and scorecards, along with hiring data about where a candidate sits in the process.

When a customer uploads a resume or candidate details, Ellyo uses AI to generate evidence based summaries that help the hiring team review the candidate. These summaries describe supporting evidence and signals. They do not produce numeric scores or hire and reject decisions.

All candidate information in Ellyo today is entered or uploaded by our customers. Ellyo does not automatically fetch or scrape candidate information from outside sources.

Usage and technical information

When you use Ellyo or visit our website, we automatically receive standard technical information that comes with internet traffic, such as your IP address and browser type, through our hosting provider's logs. We use these raw hosting logs to keep the service running and secure. We do not currently run separate analytics or tracking tools.

Referral information

Ellyo includes a referral feature. When someone is referred to Ellyo, we may collect information about the person or organization being referred so that we can track and credit the referral.

How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

We do not sell your personal information.

Sensitive information

Ellyo does not ask for or intentionally collect sensitive personal information about candidates, such as health, race or ethnicity, religion, or other protected characteristics. Because this kind of information can sometimes appear in a resume or document even when no one asked for it, we ask our customers to avoid uploading sensitive information where it is not necessary for hiring.

How candidate data is processed by AI

Ellyo uses the Anthropic API to analyze resumes and candidate information and to generate evidence based summaries. Candidate information processed this way is used only to provide the service to our customers. It is not used to train AI models.

Who we share information with

We do not sell personal information. We share information with a small set of trusted service providers, sometimes called subprocessors, who help us operate Ellyo. Each one receives only the information it needs to do its job. These providers currently include:

We may also share information if we are required to by law, to protect our rights or the safety of others, or in connection with a business transfer such as a merger or acquisition.

Responsibilities of our customers

Because our customers are the ones who enter and upload candidate information, our customers are responsible for having a proper legal basis to share that information with us, and for letting candidates know that their information is being processed as part of a hiring process. Ellyo processes candidate information on behalf of, and under the direction of, our customers.

How long we keep information

We keep information for as long as we need it to provide Ellyo and as required by law. Account information is kept for as long as you have an account and for a period afterward. Candidate information generally stays in the platform until a customer deletes it or closes their account.

How to access, correct, or delete your information

Users: Ellyo includes a self serve delete option in the app, so you can delete your data directly. You can also email us at privacy@ellyo.ai to access, correct, or delete your information, or to close your account.

Candidates: Because candidates do not have Ellyo accounts, and because the hiring team controls candidate information, candidates who want to access, correct, or delete their information should contact the employer or hiring team that uploaded it. We will support that employer in responding to your request.

Your privacy rights

California residents

If you are a California resident, you may have rights under California privacy law, including the right to know what personal information we collect, the right to request that we delete it, the right to correct inaccurate information, and the right not to be treated differently for exercising your rights. We do not sell your personal information. To make a request, email us at privacy@ellyo.ai.

If you are in the European Union or the United Kingdom

If you are located in the European Union or the United Kingdom, you may have additional rights under the GDPR or UK GDPR, including the rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal information, and the right to data portability. Where we process candidate information on behalf of a customer, that customer is generally the data controller, and you may need to direct your request to them. To reach us, email privacy@ellyo.ai.

International data transfers

We are based in the United States, and the service providers we use may process information in the United States or in other countries. If you are located outside the United States, please be aware that your information may be transferred to, and processed in, the United States.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information in Ellyo, including working with established infrastructure and service providers. No method of storing or sending information over the internet is completely secure, so while we work hard to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children's privacy

Ellyo is a workplace hiring tool and is not intended for anyone under 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at privacy@ellyo.ai and we will take steps to delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, let you know in another way.
